JIS G3115 is a hot-rolled steel plate with good welding performance used to make pressure vessels and high-pressure equipment (except for high and low temperature use). It is mainly used to make boilers, pressure vessels, pipes for transporting hot liquids, heat exchangers, etc., covered by JIS G3115 6 steel types with different yield and tensile strength grades: SPV235, SPV315, SPV355, SPV410, SPV450, SPV490. Due to its strength, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, JIS G3115 is widely used in high temperature and high pressure working environments.

G3115 SPV235: low-strength steel with carbon content ≤0.16%, suitable for vessels with medium temperature and pressure requirements, such as the manufacture of heat-resistant pressure vessels

G3115 SPV315: has higher strength and heat resistance, carbon content ≤ 0.18%, suitable for containers with medium to high temperature and pressure requirements

G3115 SPV355: has higher strength and good heat resistance, carbon content ≤ 0.20%, suitable for containers with medium and high temperature and pressure requirements

G3115 SPV410: a high-strength steel with carbon content ≤ 0.20%, suitable for manufacturing heat-resistant pressure vessels with high temperature and high pressure requirements

G3115 SPV450: Compared with SPV410, it has higher strength and excellent heat resistance, carbon content ≤ 0.22%, and is suitable for manufacturing heat-resistant pressure vessels working under extreme high temperature and high pressure conditions.

G3115 SPV490: It is the highest grade of steel in the JIS G3115 standard. It has the highest strength and excellent heat resistance. The carbon content is ≤ 0.18%.
